Bio
As a guitar player, he is an in-demand versatile musician, performing from jazz to rock and everything in between. He is well-versed in the use of the most popular music recording, production and streaming software, such as Logic Pro and Ableton. These programs are essential pieces of the next generation streaming experience, which delivers studio-like sound quality to students anywhere.
Degani has toured multiple countries with several international artists. His adaptability came to play in 2019 and 2020, when he went on to record and produce remotely (out of the studio), using virtual resources because of the pandemic that had already spread through Portugal at the time with artists such as Mistah Isaac and Andre Magalhaes. He also joined composer/guitar player Ze Vito in the audio and video production of the Quaren_Temas project, whose purpose was to join musicians from all over the world of all genres in online and remote colaborations. There were over 40 videos with artists all over the world including Fafa de Belem, Rui Veloso, Oghene Kologbo, Andre Abujamra, Juninho Maceio, Salomao Soares, Bernardo Bosisio, and others.
Guilherme Degani is an accomplished musician, performer, lecturer and producer. He graduated from a renowned Music Conservatory in Brazil(CDMCC) in MPB(Brazilian contemporary Music which includes Bossa Nova)/Jazz, as well as Faculdade Cantareira.He then went on to arrange songs in Brazil and lecture in Argentina on the theme, The New Generation of Brazilian Music - The Hermeto School and its Harmonic Concept (which was the topic of his thesis at Faculdade Cantareira).
He has headed two projects, the Degani Trio project, with the album titled Influxo, and The Degani Blues Trio S.E. The Degani Blues Trio was the product of intensive studies into timbres and sounds of the electric guitar, as well research into comtemporary blues/rock. Their performances were held at private venues as well as festivals.
In addition to his own musical talent, Gui is an outstanding teacher. He has a deep understanding of music theory and can explain complex concepts in a way that is easy to understand. He is patient and supportive, and has a knack for identifying each student's strengths and weaknesses, tailoring his teaching style to fit each individual's needs.
Guilherme is also passionate about teaching and genuinely cares about his students' progress. He takes the time to get to know each student personally, and works with them to set achievable goals and develop a personalized plan for reaching those goals.
