Bio:
Isaac believes that there is something to enjoy from all genres and styles of music, and brings this appreciation to his teaching. He has given lessons for over 3 years and sincerely enjoys imparting his knowledge to others.
Throughout 11 years of formal private lessons, he studied the theory, technique, and performance aspects of the instrument. He worked under a variety of different instructors, gaining a different perspective from each one. He is able to play and teach everything from classical favorites to jazz improvisation.
In addition to the variety of styles, Isaac understands that pedagogy has an enormous impact on the progress of the student. From personal experience, he has learned what aids learning…and what does not. He uses knowledge of proper technique and efficient practice methods to help students learn how to play music, not just recognize notes on a page.
He is excited to help students truly appreciate and understand the piano; an instrument which has been described as the easiest to play, but hardest to master.
